Cam chain tensioner arm

PostAuthor: mikeo » Wed May 20, 2020 10:07 pm

A chunk broke off my cam chain tensioner arm (technically referred to as "stopper guide 3). Is there any way to change this without taking the engine apart? I'm afraid I know the answer, but.....
It's an '87 XV700

You will at least have to pull the motor and take off the head of the affected cylinder to replace that part. Big job.
