fuel mileage

Just curious what kind of gas mileage some of you guys with the '87 xv700 are getting. Wondering how mine compares. I get around 35 m.p.g. Others with similar year/engine can chime in as well.

Fuel economy is entirely dependant on how you ride. I owned two 700's, an 84 and 85. They got about the same gas mileage as my 750's and 1100's. It ranged anywhere from 40 to 50 MPG depending on how I was riding.

my '86 - 700 averaged around 40 mpg (+/- ~10%) depending on "conditions"
best 48 mpg...
