Is it that rare ?

PostAuthor: Anfh » Wed Jul 06, 2016 12:12 pm

I bought my XV400 in Bangkok, as i wanted a decent cruise type bike etc.
Having now joined this forum, it would appear that these are quite rare. I would like to enquire as to whether i have inadvertantly bought a "bargain", ? I paid the equivallent of £900 for this, it is a 1994 bike having covered 97k kiliometres, it goes well and is it reasonably good condition.

It was sold in parts of Asia and Europe, but not in the USA, which is why it could appear as rare. Most of our members are from the US, so most threads are about the US models, or those similar.

It should be as dependable as the XV535, the larger version of the XV400.

I would not be afraid to own one. A good bike to own in Thailand, most two wheelers are 150cc or less, I believe.

You should have told people what you paid in baht (41000? ), that would have made some jaws drop.

If sold in the US, I would believe that $1163 USD would be a fair price if it was well maintained.

Interested in the XV400, as I'm picking up a LF400 tomorrow, this is a XV clone...would be nice to compare models and see what, if anything, is different..will throw up pics when collected
