you will need a 2 turn ignition switch (H.D.) or the stock switch with a toggle switch for the lights/horn power..
a 2 prong car flasher and harness..
at least 3 fuses and 1 inline 20amp fuse.
couple eyelets for grounds..
12 gauge wire and alot of 16 gauge wire.. replace all wires.. ( due to factory wires will be black in color and wont solder)
soldering gun, solder, heat shrink, black tape and wire loom....
manual petcock....dan

no time to do it right..always enough time to do it twice.

If it went together easy... you forgot something.
when in doubt.... ground it out!

Thanks for that note. I've been working to repair someone else's Frankenstein wiring job on a 94 XV535. Trying to start over and use a simple wiring but seem to be confused on Dan's Bare Bones wiring diagrams for the xv750, 700 and 1100 and adapting it for my 535.

Am I off base trying to use these bare bones diagrams for my 535. I've attached the most accurate 535 diagram I use as a base diagram, including the single pick up coil.
