Changing clutch plates w/o removin exhaust pipes?

PostAuthor: sbrbot » Tue Oct 08, 2019 7:47 am

In order to remove right engine cover and change clutch plates, does one have to remove exhaust pipes before? I'd like to change clutch plates without removing exhaust pipes because it could be difficult regardin rosted screws but it seems to me that it is not possible to reach one screw holding brake pad on right side without removing exhaust pipes before.

No --- I'm presuming there is no difference from 700-1100.

you lost me re. brake pad.
is that a separate issue?

The manuals ( Yamaha Factory, Clymers, Haynes ) make no mention of removing exhaust, only brake and foot peg.

Presumably there is enough space between the exhaust and the clutch cover to remove the cover.

Thanks, I looked at Haynes too and did not find that I had to remove exhaust pipes before. Ok exhaust pipes are in font of screw holding foot peg, but it seems that one can access it from bottom of bike. But I will do in in spring, winter is comming... [emoji3]
