This database is for users to post their single carb setup information or to look for the setup that other members are using. For this to be helpful the following info will be required.

XV920RJ - 1982, First Gen Hitachi Front Carb
Main jet: 165 (closer to 163 for me)
Pilot jet: 55 (closer to 52 for me. I tried 44, but it was too lean)
Pilot Screw turned out 3 turns.
Float level at stock.

I might tweak things further. I want more power at 1/4 throttle. I think it's possible. Maybe a bigger main jet? Anyone else have input.opinions?
1982 XV920RJ - and I just broke a new pilot needle off in the carb last night so I'm considering going for a 1-carb system. : (

This setup worked out of the box bought on ebay. it is slighlty rich on idle but I'm happy as the power is good and there is no popping . I have only put a few miles on but all seems well, as for the intake use 9mm wide 60mm clamps and it will be fine (no noticable vacuum leaks yet ). I have not looked for top speed but mid range is amazing and I have gone to 140kph on slight incline with ease and plenty of spare power
