Here's the parts' numbers for oem:

For $10 & change..OEM head bearing nuts (if those what ya meant)? Beats running from store to store.

Thanks for reply my friend but not sure how else to ask the question :bg: i am trying to find out the thread types and sizes on the stem. I am modifying my stem and need to chase the threads down the tube. I should obtain some thread gauges soon so that will work it out for me.
Thanks again :cl:

Thanks very much for that - didn't realise this was available. I just need to look for the gen 2 version now.

Best Regards

I wouldn't know for sure..Jake would have more detail, but looking at a parts list of the steering stem (and the threads "you're" talk'n about), seems to be the same. Other than 1st Gen. uses a bolt (external threads) for the steering crown and 2nd Gen. uses a crown type nut (internal threads) up there. But I'll leave it for someone with exact details.

Ah..once again..Jake posted as I was type'n. :bg:

Thanks guys - just read the reply. Seems I'm not quite there yet though as my stem has a 22mm thread for the top yoke clamp down (which I guess is the crown thread and mine is an external thread for a domed nut) and also below this a 25mm thread for the upper head bearings which doesn't seem to be mentioned on the sheet. Also Jake, could you let me know what the note associated with the steering shaft thread says please?

In summary I reckon the threads are M22 x 1mm and M25 x 1mm but it would be good to have it confirmed if possible.

many thanks

Mark
