Hi again! My Virago Build N°3

Chop it, rake it, slam it, build it for show.
New parts, old parts, built from scrap. [Hammered out of bare stock & welded with sweat.]

Do yeah, bought another Xv750 and decided to have some fun with it. This is how far I am so far.
Tl1000 front end, 4,25"x18 at the rear. Laced to a 535 hub. 160 tire on it. Swinger modified. Subframe made, 70s dt tank made to fit..
More photos to come..

Interesting! The tank looks great. Will you fit a wire front wheel to match the rear, or do you plan to keep it as is?

Thanks! I plan to do the 18 laced wheel at the front too.
Tl forks are pretty much straight plug and play. Just need to get the proper bearings to match and slightly (about 4mm)shorten the bottom collar of the steering head. No big deal then.

And here is the plan for the front light:

It is pretty budget project as I am trying to use parts that lying around the shop mainly. Image

Man, that rear wheel setup looks great! I'm wanting to do an 18 in the rear as well with the 535 hub laced. What did you do to the swingarm to get that to fit though?

Do you have that Angel GT rear tire rotation correct? The tread appears reversed in the photo. :;:

No they are right. They suppose to be like that. I have them on my XV 750 Racer too and had that question over and over! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCl72ju ... subscriber

KCT.. if you're talk'n bout OP pics, you're right.

Spyra's front and back sure look backwards to me. Pointed/narrowing of the treads are suppose to face the rider on this particular tire. Meaning: Front faces back...Back faces forwards. Which, in the case of the front, does make the tread pattern look backwards. But, that's the way the front is designed. Guess it has to do with loads at lean. Weird, too, kind flies in the face of siping water to the outside. But, guess it does work. Ah well..that isn't the direction (pun?) of this thread. Just interesting.
