Pretty easy..look at an explode view of your carbs:

One possibility:
Apparently the spark, while still in head, got squashed at the right moment.
Petcock in prime..(fuel just keeps flow'n)
Horizontal carbs
Float stuck "open"
Piston at TDC on the compression stoke lessening space..or exhaust valve not opening

AKA: straight shot of fuel to flow from tank to heads.

no, this bike has a standard carb, Mikuni brand. and i rebuilt it last month.

how does fuel go up the jets while at rest? venturi pressure does that.

Offtopic :
Float stuck "open"

i need to open up the carb and check.

fuel was coming out of the top vent, too.

Horizontal carbs

"IF" you're talk'n bout the 250?.... Look at the orientation of the air intake bell/vacuum piston/needle/ parts/the "Carb" as a whole.
