I used some 3/16 brass barstock, the threads are 4-40 tpi, and the hole in the broken hosebarb was tap drilled and lightly threaded with a 4-40 bottom tap.

The end of the hose barb was slotted using a hacksaw so I could thread it into the carb body.

Broken fuel level inspection hose barb connection fixed...Here is what I did about a broken hose barb on the carb body.
I used some 3/16 brass barstock, the threads are 4-40 tpi, and the hole in the broken hosebarb was tap drilled and lightly threaded with a 4-40 bottom tap. ![]() The end of the hose barb was slotted using a hacksaw so I could thread it into the carb body.
