left shock stud

Working on my project bike today - 2nd gen 750 and had a need to remove the lower left side bottom shock mounting stud located on the final drive. Looking at the on line parts diagrams (there's nothing about this stud in the Clymers or Haynes), it looks like this is a press-in stud. It's not...it's threaded in and can be removed with a stud remover, or possibly locked nuts if you can find a couple thin ones.
Thought I'd share that in case someone else needs to remove that stud; also, it's a "through" hole into the gear case cavity, so needs some thread sealer when it's re-assembled.
My Ride, '97 XV1100, +14, 10" over forks, progressive rear, Jardine forward controls, cobra slip-ons, K&N Filter, Dyno Jet Stage 1, Kuryakin grips, heat demon heaters, custom fabricated seat, chrome side covers, bullet signals, risers, custom modified rear fender with modified FZ1 tail light, sectioned and reversed front fender, custom paint...
