Free Blinker repairI think anyone that drives a Yamaha at some point has on of these:
I couldn't find any information on it, but I am sure others have done it. So I post my solution. The way I did this was to cut the spring in the split. Using a razor knife I trimmed the top of the threaded side of the boot up to the exact diameter of the silver blinker housing (a little large to ensure a tight fit). I then cut the metal tube off the non-threaded part of the boot. (this will be placed in above the boot to help seal the housing.) Then I ran the wires through the tube, through the boot, put some sealant on the top of the boot where it will contact the metal tube, pushed the whole thing in and tightened down the bolt. It is solid, and no longer blowing in the wind. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
