Is it possible to mount this type headlight?

PostAuthor: mr vroom » Wed Jun 26, 2019 6:32 pm

I’ve already ordered the Truck-lite headlight to mount in my 7” bucket, but they make a mounting ring that I really like but attaches center bottom. Fortunately, I’ve gotten rid of the bowl of spaghetti that used to live in the bucket.

Anything is possible with enough engineering and hard work. But what are you going to do with all the wiring that's in the headlight bucket?

wouldnt it look cleaner without the bucket? Or you need it to weatherproof?
(water splash on back pops light maybe?).

How did you get rid of the bucket spaghetti? m-unit kit?
I wonder about it but im too cheap.

Got an M-unit. I think I could hide the remaining wires in the bucket under the tank. I don’t miss that bowl of spaghetti,

does that new bulb you have require protection from water/rain hitting back? I think some bulbs do else they will pop like a hot glass does in water.

The m-unit makes the rebuild look like fun cake work. How did yours do with interfacing the spark signal unit thing(term?)?

The back of this Truck Lite 27270c seems like a water proof back, but is a good question. I do know other custom builders have used it exposed, but perhaps they made some modifications.

The m unit wiring was not too difficult, but I had help in the form of great detailed plans a friend gave to me.
