PostAuthor: twinnut67 » Wed Sep 12, 2018 2:34 pm

Hello,
On my xv720 battery negative post there is an attached small red wire that leads into the harness. What is it ?
Thanks for all your help.

I assume you mean XV750..... There should be no Red or any other wire other than the 8 gauge negative ground cable to the frame on the negative post. If there is a wire there it is something someone added. I would suggest disconnecting it and tracing it out to see where it goes.

Are you certain it’s the negative cable ?

There is a red wire on the positive cable that goes to the Regulator/Rectifier, with your main fuse between the two.
