XV920MK Pilot Screw

PostAuthor: Steve_White88 » Wed Jul 17, 2019 2:50 am

Hi All,

Sorry to bother you again, however I am trying to get my 1983 XV920MK running. I have taken the carbs (version 2 Hitachi) off and noticed that the pilot screw arrangement was different for each sides (spring, O-ring, washer). I have carb kits for both sides to replace with new so I want to make sure I put it back together correctly. I think they are supposed to be as per photo A in the two photos below, however I wanted to check.

Also does anyone the correct size of the o-ring, I have measured it at 5.5mm OD, 2mm ID, 1.5mm depth. But again I wanted to check to ensure its correct incase I ever need to get spares.

I look forward to hearing from you guys.

Steve

Image "A" is correct arrangement. Size?..never measured, myself, but have seen the size listed somewhere within VTF.

Thanks flyingdog, much appreciated for the quick reply. I will have a bit more of a search for the size on VTF. It's not urgent as I have the carb kit where they are included. Just for future reference

Thanks again :)

Steve

Good luck on finding the size of the O ring. However, they are available seperately for both Hitachi and Mikuni carbs on Ebay.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-VIRAGO- ... 0536498613
