Solenoid white wire

Hello everyone, got a quick question, I have a 1986 xv1100 and have done alot of work to it but can't seem to find where the white wire from the starter goes, it is only a small wire coming off the solenoid, any help would be awesome !! Starting to test my hair out

If you are talking about the wire that is on the small post of the solenoid, then it goes to the "starter relay" under the seat next to the main fuse. The ground from the start button operates the relay which in turn puts out battery voltage to operate the starter solenoid.
