1984/1985 Engine swap

Can I replace my 1985 engine with a 1984 . Also can I use a 1984 vx750 on a vx 700 bike or even a vx 1000 engine.

You should be able to use any 700/750/1000 engine from 1984/85, and fitting any later engine, including the 1100, can be made with no or little mods.

Why ? A vx750 or a vx700 or vx 1000 bike does not exist.

However....if you wanted to swap out an XV700 for a 1984 XV750, the answer is yes, provided you are willing to travel to Canada ( the closest place you’ll find one ) or are willing to have one shipped to Tennessee.

Again you ask why ? Well the XV750 was not sold in the US market in 1984.

Do everyone a favor and change the model in your profile from “vx700” to ”XV700”
