Engine/Clutch Side Cover Compatibility?

Hi,

Quick question. I have a 1983 Virago 920M and a few of 1981 Virago 750 parts bikes. The 920M is missing both engine side covers (clutch cover etc). Will the covers from the 750s fit (other than them not being black)? I didn't know if there was a difference in the engines other than displacement.

I'd say they are the same. (Same part #). They both use the same stator, so that is a direct both on. Let afew more responses in for ease of thought.
