Upsetting Bankruptcy Notices

PostAuthor: mark75 » Tue Nov 21, 2017 11:16 pm

according to 'ultimatecycling.com' Motorsports Aftermarket Group has filed for Chapter 11. [21 Nov 2017]
https://ultimatemotorcycling.com/2017/1 ... -mil-debt/
They own J&P Cycles, and Motorcycle-SuperStore among others:

Velocity Holding Company, Inc.
Velocity Pooling Vehicle, LLC
DFR Acquisition Corp.
Ed Tucker Distributor, Inc.
J&P Cycles, LLC
Kuryakyn Holdings, LLC
MAG Creative Group, LLC
MAGNET Force, LLC
Motorcycle Superstore, Inc.
Motorcycle USA LLC
Motorsport Aftermarket Group, Inc.
Mustang Motorcycle Products, LLC
Performance Machine, LLC (owns Roland Sands Design)
Ralco Holdings, Inc.
Rally Holdings, LLC
Renthal America, Inc.
Tucker Rocky Corporation
Tucker-Rocky Georgia, LLC
V&H Performance, LLC (Vance & Hines) ...

shows tough times in the motorcycle market.

what that means to the average Virago guy [especially at this time of gifting year] is get confirmation that your order can and will be delivered before you are out the money.

getting caught in the middle of bankruptcy proceedings can be very trying & frustrating.

Yup, the US motorcycle market is in the tank. Only "old people" buy bikes any more. Younger people have no interest in them. "Times they are a changin'."

I sold my R6 track bike last month. Over the years buying and sell race bikes was typically a younger persons transaction. The buyer of my bike is 65...

I hear you. The gravel/enduro rally I joined a few months back in Sweden contained a very adult group. There were 530 of us, and it would not surprise me if I, age 53, pulled the average age down. Basically, it is the same people that ride today that rode in the 70s and 80s for the most part. When I began riding in 1980, there were few riders above 30, most where between 16 and 25. Grownups had cars, houses and families and quit riding. But it seems that our generation continued to ride, even when we got the car and the house and the family, but that our kids had other interests. At least both of our sons ride, so we've done our share :bg:

Moving to Louisville makes sense. UPS does global distribution for many companies from that location. They will even operate warehouses for customers.
