Rear Running Lights Replacement Red Lenses

PostAuthor: Tikker » Thu May 03, 2012 6:52 pm

Just wanted those whom are interested to know, the Kuryakyn Red lens 2267 is an exact replacement for the Virago. Mine is an '85 XV700.
They do not list the Virago in its fitment list and I inquired but could not get a positive response as to its application on the Virago.
I was able to get the center to center mounting hole dimension and the lens diameter, these numbers were what I was getting from my stock lens so I took a gamble and ordered two red lenses. Fit perfectly.
CruiserCustomizing part number is LTK494034956230X the only problem I have is their packaging/cost of shipping. These could ship in a bubble envelope but they choose an oversized for its need box, creating an unnecessarily high shipping cost.
I'm very happy with the the product and CruiserCustomizing was very helpful with my inquiries about the lens in trying to determine if they would in fact work.

I hate to admit it, but I got the idea and part # from another site, which shall remain nameless :naughty:

Did some searching in the hope that that wouldn't happen.
As they say "My bad".

I ordered a Sound Off Priority Plus light module today to make the rear turn signals running/flash/brake lights, without changing sockets and bulbs.
Not news, I know, but I did lots of searching and found the best price with shipping, on Amazon, I was surprised.

A few months from now, someone else will make a discovery of the red lenses too,

I was surprised that the vendor I was inquiring to couldn't give me dimensional information for the lens.
You would also think the manufacturer would/could get the information to clarify all applications.

Like I told you, I found out about the them from another site and we discussed it here, on another thread( not the one I showed you ).

To prove it to another member and myself, I did a comparison of part numbers, since I knew the lens fit the Road Star and Royal Star. Here is the list from Boats.net : http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/yamah ... 00-00.html

Hey hey hey......
I bought the lenses awhile ago.
I also have obtained some extra 3 wire front turn signals.
Does anyone have instructions on how to do the run, brake, turn mod?
Thanks.

On my Z650, I have red lenses in the back and clear (with clear bulbs) in the front - I have never liked the look of amber lenses.
