still havent received this skull switch. but as soon as i get it.. it will go through my rough testing to see what it can handle. just dont know where to mount it to the bride if it handles the current i give it?
going to use it for a push button start. thinking of mounting it to the right side cover. but then the left side cover wont match........ ooohh the drama :bg: ..........dan

Well I got the switch on Friday. Did some testing and this switch will handle everything I can throw at it. Here is where I am thinking of mounting it......... dan

the problem i am seeing with using this switch for the starter button is...
the contacts are open. if it rains and water makes it to the contacts my starter will be activating while i am riding. bummer :(

true. plus the switch is not weather proof. if i get caught riding when it is raining there is a good chance the switch will sort out and cause the starter to engage. this is not a good thing. i could hide it. but why hide a skull????? i may just cover it in plastic then mount it where i have it..........dan

electrical grease?

like used in boat trailers to fill bulb sockets so they don't rust or short out?
