There have been a couple of guys here that use them, Scagin is one. Check out Scagin's album for pics. I don't think the price has gone up since then either.

I can't seem to work out where these forward controls would bolt to? The ones I have seen bolt on in place of the engine frame... these don't seem to do that.

They bolt up the same as Mapams and to the same mounting points as the stock controls.

That's where I thought they would mont to. It's just the ones on the Bikerparts.com site looked to have flat plates. Perhaps the pics are just for "illustration purposes".

Jake, help me out here, I can't seem to work out where the long furry thing mounts on to and what's it's purpose?

Ahhh....., It's all falling into place now, I'm a little slow, we do it a bit differently here, we use kangaroo tails to clear away the Tassie Devils from our roads, thanks Jake. Sorry about getting OT bikermike.

Interesting. I was thinking of making my own. Don't know they'll fit my '82, tho.

Bookmarked for future reference. Thanks.

They should fit your '82 without issue. They bolt on the same way as Mapams and members here have put Mapams on first Gen Viragos. Here is thread to check out, Arnies Forward Control Pics
