Boeshield T-9

PostAuthor: mark75 » Thu Nov 17, 2016 10:05 pm

Just ran across this stuff. Sounds pretty good. [maybe as good as Gibbs Oil?]
penetrating lubricant that leaves a dry [waxy] lubed surface, called "T-9" --- the folks at Boeing [the airplane people] came up with it.
http://boeshield.com/about/

sounds like it would be good for cables/chains ... [wiring?]

Has anyone used this product before?
Was it effective? What do you think of it?

Someone has to be 1st, I guess that's you.

Maybe they'll pile on later with comments and experiences.

Nah, didn't find much interest [mine included] or spare change, so just stayed with my trusty Gibbs Oil.

I use Chain Wax on the level pivots, rear brake cam, and any place that is exposed to the elements that could gather dust.
Had to buy some in San Antonio Texas to use on my new to me 2001 Goldwing's brake level pivot when it was feeling sticky.
Don't know where you would get T-9 but most M/C shops have small cans of Chain Wax.
Sprays on like chain lube then cures to a waxy consistency.
Go figure my street bikes are drive shaft and I need chain lube!

So, at work we have done some research and have decided to give it a try. We cannot find a long lasting lube/silencer for Corvette removable hard tops. Those things chirp and squeak something terrible. Will let you know how it works out if I can master this site's search engine and find this post again.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
