XV1100 engine wanted - basically barrels and crankcase needed. Don't need gearbox and final drive, carbs, ignition and starter, electrics etc

Can pick up UK/Ireland/Western Europe

I deleted your post in XV1100, asking folks to look here.

Greetings from Austria (Europe), I have a set of low-mileage cylinders and pistons. The only spare crankcase I have at the moment, I do need myself...

Do you need any cranks as well or the like as well?

Please drop me a private message with your e-mail-address and I'll get back to you. I am not in the forum on a daily basis at the moment.

Cheers,
Greg

Note to you: cases are matched, so you need both halves.

Thanks Greg, didn't know that. But to answer your question in my thread, it's a crankcase set/pair I need. Any other parts that came attached would be superfluous.

Greg, would a set of gen 2 XV750 cases be usable? I note the capacity increase to 1100 was obtained by stroking rather than boring.
I can lay my hands on a 750 set for 200 euros.

There's two limiting factors:

1) you'd have to bore out the crankcase mouths of the 750 case (easy job on a mill)
2) I am not sure whether the Gen2 750ies still had the smaller crank roller bearings or the big ones as found on the 1100.

Cheers,
Greg
