Who would steal a mirror? (SOLVED)

PostAuthor: rogsatt34 » Thu Mar 19, 2009 11:29 pm

I was at work today for around 12 hours. When I came outside for a smoke break tonight, I saw that some @$$hole had stolen one of my mirrors. I paid $120 for these kuryakan skull mirrors. I'm pissed. I don't understand why they just took one. I really hate living here. :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed: :pissed:

u kiddin me?!?!?!?! scum. Its gonna get worse too with the world like it is.. Im sorry to read this, Rog. Im glad you didnt see him, I know what I woulda done, and It might not have been good. What are we supposed to do?!?! chain everything, lock everything? you cant get special screws, the thieves will get special screwdrivers. Chain, cable.... bolt cutters.. I bet it would be different in one of those countries that takes your hand when you get caught stealing and you have to wipe with the same hand you eat with.. fitting I think. I hate thieves.. worst scum in the world..

Its sure a messed up world. I agree Funk that its going to get worse. Those were some sweet looking mirrors, WHY NOT TAKE BOTH!!!!!! Thats what pisses me off the most. I never ride stoned, but because of this happening today I find myself typing stoned, which I very very rarley do. Anyway as I've calmed down a bit I will say that if anyone is looking at buying these mirrors I would advise you not too. They are cheaply made. The mirror head is just chromed over plastic. They are not worth the money. If anyone in alabama sees someone riding around with one of my mirrors, let me know. I want to give him the other one.

There's nothing worse than a thief. I'd like to catch someone doing that just once.

I live up here in Gadsden, but I'll keep my eyes open for your mirror. No one around here owns them that I know of.

If it was chromed plastic, why would they even bother?

I know where Id love to put that other mirror,, in pieces.. Im glad you're calmer now.. Im also glad you see the silver lining.. time to get better mirrors.. Maybe you can get some better quality for less money.. who knows.. I know one thing.. mostly from studying life and people.. If you do good things,, bad can still happen to you, but something good might too... If you do bad things, bad always happens. These people who would do such a thing arent living the kind of life on this earth that you and I enjoy. I dont feel bad for them either, they deserve it. Hard enough in the world, getting by, without someone taking your stuff..

Well, there you have it. Connect your bike to a 220 volt current. Park your bike on a metal pad, and connect the ground to the metal pad, and the hot to your bike. Then plug it in. Enough said. You will catch the theif.

Everything happpens for a reason. The sad thing is, it probaly wasn't stolen by a biker, cause most bikers would't do that. Pappy, keep an eye out, if it was a biker I want him to have the other one. I don't need it. I'm getting kewl new ones.

Sorry 'bout yur mirror . . I'd probably keep the one I still had and watch eBay for the missing one . . then resell them as a set, but you could most likely get a good price for the single one too.

I have though about getting a set of the skull mirrors, but can't justify the prices asked.

yeah, they'd better be fast.. large price to be paid for a stupid mirror if they get caught.. Not to mention, the cops could be called afterwards...

Years ago in college, after watching RoboCop an electrical engineer friend of mine rigged something like that up to his old Malibu...500$ car, 5000$ sound system. Every so often, you'd hear a scream in the night and find a puddle of urine next to the car. Not sure how much juice it hit them with, but it had four extra car batteries in the trunk and a frakish-huge capacitor, and one single turn-key with a rubber grommet right behind the driver-side door. Hate to sound evil, but damn, that was Hilarious.

So far, knock on wood, nothing's happened to my trusty Yamahammer, but 2 years ago, the battery came up missing on my Hondamatic 400. Hate a damned thief.

I found my stolen mirror. I was mowing the grass at work today (yes I manage a 5 million dollar restaurant, but I have to mow the grass) and when I was using the weedeater I found my mirror in the bushes. The glass was broken and so was the mirror body ($120 plastic) Leads me to believe it was one of my many disgruntled employees. I've had my tires slashed and car keyed by some of them, so this doesn't surprise me. I park my bike right next to the building. Monday I'm having a new security camera installed right there. If it happens again, I will catch them. :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast: :blast:
