Finiding a Wiring Diagram- Motogadget M-unit - Advice?

PostAuthor: wargboyz » Mon Sep 30, 2019 12:31 pm

Hey Guys,

First time poster. be gentle :bg:

I have a 1995 xv110 with a completely shot wiring harness. I'm replacing almost everything in the handlebars, and putting LED signals on the back. I should have done this more piecemeal, as I fell into the classic trap of trying to do too much, and got lost in mess of wires and confusion. I almost gave up on this bike, as electronics is not my forte, but someone recommended the motogadet M-unit, and it seems to be simple solution to getting getting everything wired up correctly without me loosing anymore hair.

Does anyone have experience with the M-unit Basic? Any advice or warnings?

Does anyone know where I can find a high-resolution, digital copy of the OEM wiring diagram? The only ones I can find on google are really low quality, and I can't find a reputable seller of a better version.

Thanks in advance!

Try the m unit website. Do a google search on this site. There is a couple of wiring diagrams for the Blue unit.

It isn't simple as you need to plan the whole project out. Begin with the source of power, then build from there. An M-Button will save a great of time and wires too.

I have the m-unit diagram (RivalCycles has great articles for this).

I need the OEM diagram for reference. Any suggestions?

Manual? That's odd that google didn't do it for ya. I googled and came up with many good/clear diagrams. Maybe try a different search engine. Manuals & digital copies usually cost, but what doesn't anymore? I just bought 2 new manuals to replace couple well worn ones, with pages fallen out/grease obscure'n alot. $50 and worth every penny, to me. Have you looked up manual d/l (s) on VTF?

Noticed TRV (Dan), the resident "Wizard of Wiring" , is back around these parts, you should post your request in the "Electronics" section...see what comes up.
