Carmo Electronic CDI/TCI

PostAuthor: Ryzerous » Thu Oct 11, 2018 8:44 pm

Has anyone bought a TCI/CDI from Carmo Electronics?

I bought one and my 98' ran amazing for about an hour before the thing crapped out. My mechanic 99% sure its the unit and nothing else. Sent back for warranty and haven't heard anything from them yet.

There are little to no reviews online, and I haven't seen a single review on my exact unit.

There's no fuel reserve switch wire (Red/ Green) and no low fuel light wire (green) on the carmo unit like stock TCI has. Mechanic confirmed dwell on orange circuit not providing proper activation of rear cylinder. Odd indeed.

Well, Carmo made it right and sent me a different tci and it has XV1100 embossed and looks just like oem. We think they may have sent the wrong one the first time. Lets hope it lasts!

Cheers
