Anybody use Tour Master Gear?

PostAuthor: faffi » Sat Jul 22, 2017 4:23 pm

I'm considering this as it is much cheaper than similar spec gear I can buy in Europe - and it is supposed to be WARM. Most also say it is water proof, but will I still be totally dry after riding for 15 hours in an ongoing rainstorm, like I would in a Rukka, Klim or Dane?

I've used a lot of Tour Master gear over the years. Mostly gloves and tank bags but their quality has always been good.
Don't know anything about that jacket but Cortech bought them a few years ago and have Tour Master as their second line.

I have had the Tour Master "Pivot 2" jacket for 3 years...Bought it new, for less than $200 US
in a closeout sale online, (don't remember from where specifically).
I wear a leather jacket for around town riding, and the Tour Master for all other riding. It
can handle weather conditions better in the long run and is probably just as or more than
protective enough if/as necessary....(at least once for sure! -- unproven so far, knock knock)
It's been an excellent riding jacket in all weather conditions. The fit is good, adjustable,
and comfortable. Keeps me dry in the rain, plenty warm in the cold, has good ventilation for hot days.
The overall quality is very good. I have no complaints. The only
possible criticism would be the size/fit runs a bit large. For me, that provides better room
for another layer beneath in real cold weather, and more room makes it looser fitting providing better
air circulation in very hot weather...so for me the size/fit is actually good.
My jacket size is a Mens 46 XL, I am 6 ft 180-190 avg built, 60+ yrs.

Bottom Line... If I were going to buy a new jacket, to upgrade and or replace mine,
I would definitely consider, and most like purchase, the Tour Master Transition 4 Jacket
after price searching online.
