I knocked off the cob webs and actually went for a motorcycle ride today. I've not ridden in a looong time. Between cycling, a new job in December, and going back to graduate school, I've not had any time. It was nice to get a couple of hours in. ImageImageImageImage

Very, very nice bike :cl:

At the age of 54, my priority is to ride quite a lot. So instead of working out every day, I work out 3-4 times per week, leaving me more time to tinker and to ride. Knowing that I have anything between 0 and 40 years left where I can ride motorcycles, it has become important for me to do so. Hence I ride to work every day, no matter if it snows or hails or the sun is shining. Even though it is only 5 miles in total per day, I enjoy it and dread the few days when I must drive instead. The short, but constant practice have also done wonders for honing my skills. YMMV.

I was changing spark plugs to Bosch Fusions and ended up doing a few housekeeping chores.

1) new plugs
2) rerouted petcock vent tubing
3) lengthen shock by full turns. The rear end is up a bit more. Turn in is improved. [emoji16]

I also took a few photos I am lacking. Choke mod, MOSFET bracket & wiring, Motogadget wiring, and a couple others.

I suppose the bloke in the picture is not you?

How much did you raise the rear end?

Nope, that's my son.

Oh it's up another 3/4" or so. I didn't measure it. Rake and trail is so long on these bikes it's not worth the time to measure. Also I already had it in the stand...

My 82 Virago 750 is now sitting with both wheels firmly on the ground when parked on the centre stand, so for more ground clearance I will have to stop using that stand or put a plank under it.

Just worked my way through all five parts of the build thread, very informative, thank you.

On the choke replacement lever that was built by Revival- do you think they would be open to being commissioned to make another piece?

Oh they are open to do anything. Give the a call, ask for Chris. Explain what you like done. He'll know exactly what you're asking about.
