You will need a Honda brake drum as well, I like to keep everything as simple as possible, as how to get spares later.
On my XV 1000 Beltdrive, I have spoke hubs front and rear, from a 1984 Virago, on the rear, I cut the spokes of a TR1 rim, then I cut of the brake drum part of the hub, I machined the sprocket/damper hub-part, where the sprocket and rubber dampening sits and bolted it on to the spoke hub, where the driveshaft spline had been bolted on and then you have a chain drive spoke hub, on which you can mount almost any rim size, that can clear your front and back forks.

There is at least two, maybe three lists of axle and fork tube sizes in VTF Tech Articles.
Look for the one I posted, it's different than others in the respect that I have made all of the Virago info in red fonts so it's easy to find.

I looked into it a bit and the 77-78 version of the bike ( at least the UK version) use a 17" rim and 630 sprocket on the rear.

Progressing with my build and tested the alignment and spacers needed. The left side honda CB spacer seems to position the wheel exactly center and with the rear sprocket aligned with the countershaft one. Right hand CB spacer needs about 5-10mm trimmed off it and it should fit. Going to get the correct measures and get a hold of a guy I know with a lathe.
