Just here to learn how to clean/rebuild carbs on wife's 750

PostAuthor: dwarven1 » Mon Sep 02, 2019 7:56 pm

Title says it all. Got the wife a 750; she went down on it, and didn't get back on it. It's all repaired BUT the carbs appear to be screwed up from sitting for two years with ( I thought! ) stabilized gas in it. Tired of lowballs from FB Marketplace because the carbs need to be cleaned, so the heck with this. Going to learn to do it myself and sell it in the spring. Hope y'all don't mind helping someone pick your brains about that!

Her bikes:
'96 VX750 (which will be sold once it's running again) and her new ride (which she's much happier with) a Kawasaki 900 Vulcan
My bikes:
'03 Gold Wing 1800 Motor Trike
'02 V-Star 650.

I moved your post to XV750. Not because you did something wrong, but more because some people don’t pay attention to where you posted it, and they would start offering info.

Needless to say, New Member Intros is not a Q&A section.

Lots of info available, you’ll have lots to digest soon.

Probly, don't take much. Some cruds even stabilizers won't touch. Takes good ole fashion break'n down and clean'n.
