my '94 xv750 (per VIN) is configured differently than the exploded view i have from the manual.
i cant buy a replacement (too loud for my tastes) until i know what i am replacing. ugh!

Howdy. Welcome to VTF.

it should look like this ---> https://www.mrcycles.com/oemparts/a/yam ... 5a/exhaust

basically 700 to 1100 should 'fit' [with only minor differences] --- try eBay??

Hello mark75,
Thanks for the greeting, and the reference. My local store guru said that my best approach for the most silence is to bring my moto back to its original issue configuration (the exploded view).

Any additional (or counter) suggestions on how to best silence my moto?

Now finding a reasonably priced OEM is the challenge, and yes ebay is one source to trudge through! Ugh.
Play hard!

I have a set I may be willing to part with. It all depends on what you call reasonable and factor the cost of shipping too.

Now that brings me back to uploading a photo as I suggested before. Why ? Because the front and rear head pipes may be able to be used with OEM mufflers.

:VTF:
The best solution as suggested is to use the stock muffler set up. As Jake suggests, we need to see what the current exhaust system you have on the bike is, so some pics would be of great help.
