The February 2009 Cycle World had an article on the 10 best used bikes to buy for under $3K.
Guess what made the list? Yep! You guessed it! the 1986 Virago 1100 made the list as the best cruiser.
Listed MSRP New: $4499
Blue Book: $2060
The article states that if you are not interested in a 23 year old cruiser, you can opt for a mid 90s model for under the $3,000.

the (SOLVED) project
I would like to start what I would call the SOLVED project. By this I mean that once your post has been answered to your satisfaction go back and edit your title and put (SOLVED) in it so that people will know two things: (1) that your post is solved and that they should not look at it thinking that they can provide an answer, and (2) those who have a problem associated with yours will know that your post has a possible solution for them to look at regarding their own problem.
This includes items wanted and 4sale.

Switching to thumbnail view of attachments
What that means is the forum will make a smaller thumb nail of the attachment in the thread to view. Then you just click on it to see the full size image. That should help keep things speedy.
But it will only do that to images over 30,000K
image size in post are limited to 1024x768

Problems Searching?
Make sure and use the AND OR and NOT between each word or you will get junk results. Typical search engine stuff doesn't work with it.
"Search for Keywords:
You can use AND to define words which must be in the results, OR to define words which may be in the result and NOT to define words which should not be in the result. Use * as a wildcard for partial matches"
Example
[ virago AND 250 AND exhaust ]
